PVMA’s Career Center allows employers and job seekers to post and review positions online. Members receive an automatic discount when creating an account. The career center is free for job seekers. Prices vary for employers posting an ad based on choices made including how long the ad runs.
Members are eligible for complimentary classified advertising in our Keystone Veterinarian Magazine. In addition, relief veterinarians may run free ads on our website. Our Vet Bytes e-newsletter is sent out once a week to keep members up to date with industry news and trends. E-news alerts are sent out as urgent issues arise.
Our charitable arm, Animal Care PA, allows YOU, our valued member, to take advantage of this program! When a client comes in with a sick animal but does not have the means to pay for their care, you can submit a request for a veterinary care grant through the TLC Program. The program does not cost anything for PVMA Members. All you need to do is enroll!

I’ve found that one of the most effective ways of conveying to our senators and representatives the many hats that veterinarians wear is to make regular legislative visits. After sitting with my legislator, I knew that my presence had been worthwhile. In one visit, we brought many important issues to the forefront.
There is no other advocate in the Pennsylvania legislature for our views as veterinary professionals than PVMA. If you have no seat at the table, you have no voice in the discussion. That’s why it’s important for each veterinarian to know the issues and do their part to build a relationship with their Representatives and Senator.
