Attention PVMA Members:

PVMA would like to officially invite you to apply to this year’s 2022-2024 PVMA Power of 10 Scholarship Program! This year’s program will provide 10 PVMA Member Certified Veterinary Technicians with leadership development sessions over the next 2 years to further your veterinary career. The selection committee will only be choosing 10 CVT Members, so, make a strong statement of why the committee should choose you!

Deadline to apply for the next class of P10 has been extended to June 15, 2022.

What is P10?

The P10 Scholarship Program provides 10 PVMA Members with leadership development sessions over 2 years. Sessions will include face-to-face and virtual roundtable discussions and attendance to PVMA continuing education programs.

1st Year – Learning:
  • How to effectively communicate with clients and co-workers and resolve conflicts.
  • Learn more about managing your finances: setting financial goals, personal budgeting and debt consolidation management.
  • How to make wellbeing and self-care a priority.
  • Learning and networking opportunities that will help you grow personally and professionally.
  • Practical skills to apply to your vet practice for team growth.
  • How to discuss pressing issues with legislators.
  • Opportunities to learn more about PVMA, how to get involved, get to know our leadership, and give back to your profession here in Pennsylvania.


2nd Year – Leading:
  • Become a speaker or attendee at a PVMA District Meeting
  • Volunteer at a PVMA Conference
  • Serve in the PVMA Leadership
    • Chair a Committee
    • Run for a Board of Trustees position
    • Chair a Task Force
  • Become a PVMA Social Media Ambassador
  • Write for the Magazine
  • Volunteer with Animal Care PA
    • Bark in the Park Volunteer
    • Join a ACPA Committee
  • Present another passion project to PVMA Leadership!


What Is Included in Your Scholarship?

  • Focus on your year-2 project meetings with PVMA leadership.
  • Attendance to PVMA’s Hall of Fame Awards program and the Annual Membership Meeting.
  • Registration to Animal Care PA’s Bark in the Park with networking and non-profit fundraising opportunities to develop transferable skills.
  • Registration to PVMA’s Keystone Veterinary Conference and Three-Rivers Veterinary Symposium with specifically recommended sessions to develop your leadership and wellbeing.
  • Join a roundtable discussion focused on employment contracts and benefits, loans and debts, investments, and retirement/ownership of a business.
  • Attend Legislative Day and meet with lawmakers to discuss pressing issues.


General Rules and How to Apply?

  • You must be a PVMA Member to apply and participate.
  • Your supervisor should commit to supporting your involvement in this initiative since you will likely miss 4-6 days of work for these important sessions. They must complete the Employer Consent Form.
