TOP 5 REASONS TO JOIN PVMA AS A VETERINARIAN
The Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) represents veterinarians across Pennsylvania. From our very beginnings as the only statewide veterinary association, our mission has been to ensure the vitality of the profession by providing educational opportunities which enhance your skills, advocacy to protect the scope of practice and your interests as members of the profession, and benefits and services to save you time and money in your daily life.
With a variety of veterinarian member types, there is a fit for everyone. Here is just an example of ways we can help.
PVMA offers reduced registration rates for our members to our four major conferences a year. Conferences are located across the state so there is a location that is convenient for everyone.
We also offer free webinars and district dinner meetings throughout the year for you to gain more knowledge from the comfort of your home or office.
KEEPING YOU CONNECTED
PVMA keeps you informed. We offer our weekly e-news Vet Bytes, monthly Insurance Insights, as well as other quarterly e-news—Practice Perspectives. Our quarterly keystone veterinarian magazine is also a source of valuable information.
SERVICES AND RESOURCES
PVMA offers numerous discount programs on things you use in your daily personal and practice. We have exclusive offers for student loan repayment consolidation savings, identify theft protection, car rentals, legal services, marketing services, the Veterinary Career Network job bank, and the webinar series offered by Communication Solutions for Veterinarians.
In addition, we have our own insurance agency, pvmaAssure, which offers assistance on any insurance issues or questions you have and can help you find the right coverage no matter what type of insurance you are looking for – from health to life and disability to business and personal property and casualty.
YOUR VOICE IN HARRISBURG
PVMA is the only advocate for the veterinary profession at the state level. Legislation introduced at the state level has the most likelihood of impacting your business here in PA. PVMA monitors legislative bills and regulatory proposals with your interests in mind. We cultivate relationships with legislators, agency leaders, and other organizations to ensure that veterinary medicine is well represented at the decision making table.
BUSINESS TOOLS FOR PRACTICE OWNERS
PVMA offers a portfolio of tools and services that will help you as a business owner. Bankcard processing, debt recovery, identity theft protection, payroll services, on hold messaging, and energy buying services are just a few of the services we offer our practice owners. We also offer access to statewide surveys that show you how you compare to others.
Have a question and not sure where to turn? Our management team is available to assist you with questions you have related to practice. Even if we don’t know the answer, we will research it and get back to you—saving you time, hassles, and money.
