Karen’s professional and volunteer experience includes over 20 years of service in nonprofit organizations in Central Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology from Albright College in 2014.
Karen lives with her spouse and two fur-kids. She enjoys boxing care packages for deployed military veterinarian units and visiting the local VA Medical Center with her certified therapy canine, Kelly. Karen also practices agility and nose work with her chocolate Labrador retriever, Harley. Her personal goal is to make a positive difference in the life of every person or canine she meets.

Megan is a CVT from Pennsylvania. She is a 2008 graduate from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for just under 10 years. Megan has worked in emergency, clinical practice, research and education. She is our Education and Events coordinator with Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. She is also am an adjunct instructor at a local veterinary technology program in York, PA. She lives with 4 monsters, two human- her husband and her two-year-old son and two canines- a Lab mix and a GSP. All of them keep her pretty busy!

Jaime is a 2005 graduate of Kutztown University with a BFA in Communication Design. She also received an Associate Specialized Degree in Marketing and Merchandising Mangement in 2000. She is married and has two pups, Ollie and Marnie, both rescue Cockapoos. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, tasting the latest microbrew and donates her time and skills to help the promote the puppy mill rescue where she adopted Marnie.

Julie is thrilled to join the PVMA staff and combine her professional administrative experience with her love of animals. After 28 years serving humans in the medical field, Julie accepted the position of Administrative Assistant at the PVMA where she is finds it invigorating being involved in an environment that supports the veterinary industry. “It is so rewarding to offer support to the staff and members of PVMA on a daily basis, working toward a common goal, and getting back to the roots of my college degree in Communications/Public Relations”.
Julie attends New Beginnings Church, sings in the adult choir and helps lead the children’s choir “A Joyful Noise”. She is the Advancement Chair for Boy Scout Troop 97, is a busy dog walker/pet sitter, and supports PACK9 rescue. Her son Mitchell, and Eagle Scout, is attending York College. Pups Tali, Fozzie, Chewbacca, and cat Snowflake allow Julie to clean the house in Middletown she shares with husband Jim and son Joe. She never lets the guys forget, “There will always be dogs!”

Christine has been with PVMA since 2003 and currently serves in the role as Director Strategic Alliances. Christine holds an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Harrisburg Area Community College as well as a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional credential in May, 2017.
After working as a Meetings Manager in the Association Management Department at the Pennsylvania Medical Society from 1994-2000, she took break to stay home with her young children, then joined PVMA in October, 2003 to assist with conference planning. As Director of Education and Events, she was responsible for the planning and execution of 4 annual conferences, 4 annual trade shows, a 5k fundraiser, Power of 10 Leadership Academy, and many smaller meetings and events that took place within the association. In January 2019, Christine became the Director of Strategic Alliances on a part-time basis and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key partners and pursuing strategic alliances.
Christine lives in Annville, Pennsylvania, her childhood hometown, with her husband, Kris, and 3 children, Andrew, Ellie, and Devin. She’s also a dog mom to 3 dachshunds, Boots, Paco, and Daisy. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, working in her sister-in-law’s bakery on weekends, hiking, kayaking, and heading to Cape May, New Jersey (or any beach!) every chance she gets.

Jen joined PVMA in March 2016 as the Director of Member Services & Outreach. Her professional background includes experience in marketing, events, membership, and business development. She has a passion for animals and enjoys building new relationships. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2003 with Bachelors of Science degrees in both Marketing and Management. Jen enjoys taking Disney vacations and spending time at the beach with son Peyton. Jen’s favorite place to be is in the water, whether it’s swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, or spending the day boating at Lake Raystown.

Katie is a Certified Veterinary Technician from Pennsylvania and has been practicing for 14 years. Most of her time has been working in general practice and orthopedics. She has a Bachelor of Science from Wilson College in Veterinary Medical Technology and an Associate in Arts degree from Harrisburg Area Community College in Business Administration. She is happily married with two wonderful kids, a son and a daughter. Her four-legged family members are Beau, a Labradoodle and Danny, a Cesky Fousek. Her family enjoys the outdoors and likes to spend leisure time on the river or at the beach with friends and family.
