2010 Active-Recent Graduate
Veterinarians who are in their fourth year out of school, dues are 75% of the current Active Member dues rate. For four (4) consecutive years following graduation, recent graduates pay a significantly discounted dues rate. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues. Associate Veterinarians who are residing or working in other states. 2014 dues are $221.00.

2011 Active-Recent Graduate
Veterinarians who are in their third year out of school, dues are 50% of the current Active Member dues rate. For three (3) consecutive years following graduation, recent graduates pay a significantly discounted dues rate. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues. Associate Veterinarians who are residing or working in other states. 2014 dues are $148.00.

2012 Active-Recent Graduate
Applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues. 2014 dues are $74.

2013 Active-Recent Graduate
Applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues. 2014 dues are $74.

2014 Graduate
Upon graduation from an accredited college of veterinary medicine, graduates applying for membership are eligible to continue their dues-free membership for the remainder of their graduation year. Active Recent Graduate dues apply at membership renewal on January 1 of the following year.

Academic Active
Graduates of veterinary medicine who work primarily (75% or more) of their time in an academic institution. 2014 dues are $100.

Active
Graduates of colleges of veterinary medicine. 2014 active membership dues per month of application area:

• $295: January 1-March 31
• $221: April 1-June 30
• $148: July 1-September 30
• $74: October 1-December 31

Associate
Any veterinarian residing and/or working in another state. Associate member status may be automatically granted to any active member who moves out of the Commonwealth. Associate members may not vote or hold office but otherwise shall have all the privileges of active members. 2014 dues are $80.

Certified Veterinary Technician
Certified Veterinary Technicians shall consist of individuals who have successfully completed a State Board of Veterinary Medicine approved post high school program of veterinary technology and/or are certified by a State Board of Veterinary Medicine. 2014 dues are $60.

Government
Veterinarians who work 75% or more of their time for a federal or state government agency or the military. Verification of the agency of employment must be included with the membership application. All applications must be accompanied by the dues for the first year. 2014 dues are $100.

Industry Partner
Non-veterinarian representatives from companies that manufacture or provide veterinary-related products and/or services to veterinarians. 2014 dues are $115.

Life
Life Membership is available to members who have been Active Members in good standing in the Association for twenty-five years or more, 70 years of
age or older, and who have retired from active practice of veterinary medicine or participation in that branch of veterinary science to which their professional services had been related. Part-Time Staff Veterinarian
Dues are set at 50% of the Active Member dues amount. Eligible veterinarians must provide verification of part-time status in writing and the verification must be signed by the practice owner. The letter stating part-time status must accompany the membership application. The practice owner must also be a PVMA member. Applicants should complete the membership application. All applications must be accompanied by the dues for the first year. Verification of part-time status must be completed annually. 2014 dues are $148.

Practice Manager
Veterinary practice personnel (non-veterinarian) who spend at least 75% of their time either in the direct conduct of veterinary medicine or who have direct responsibility for the management and day-to-day operation of one or more veterinary hospital. 2014 dues are $80.

Retired
Retired membership shall consist of those members who are currently Active Members in good standing and are not less than sixty years of age and who have retired from active practice of veterinary medicine or participation in that branch of veterinary science to which their professional services has been related. Student
Veterinary medical students who permanently reside in PA and are currently enrolled in an out of state accredited college of veterinary medicine, and any student currently enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. Student membership is complimentary.

Veterinary Assistant
Veterinary Assistants shall consist of individuals who do not hold certification as a veterinary technician and who are employed in veterinary practice. 2014 dues are $60.

Veterinary Technology Student
Veterinary Technology Students shall consist of veterinary medical students or veterinary technology students who permanently reside in Pennsylvania and are currently enrolled in an accredited college of veterinary medicine or veterinary technology program. Student membership is complimentary.

NOTE: All applications are subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.
