The Northeastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (NEPVMA) invites you to our Spring dinner meeting and we hope you will be able to join us! This is your chance to interact with colleagues, network, and earn continuing education (CE) credits!


What’s New in Innovative Diagnostic Offerings in Urinary Disease?

RenalTechTM is a new AI model (developed as a collaboration among Mars, Waltham, Banfield and Antech Diagnostics) that predicts whether a cat will develop chronic renal disease up to 2 years prior to the onset of disease. This presentation will review the data used to create RenalTechTM and support its accuracy, how to interpret the RenalTechTM Status of a cat and outline follow up and personalized care pathways using clinical case examples. CADET-BRAF/BRAF PLUS is the first liquid urine biopsy using DNA-based testing for early detection, diagnosis and monitoring of transitional cell carcinoma/urothelial carcinoma.

About the Speaker:

Jennifer Lauren Lopez, DVM, MBA

Jennifer Lauren Lopez is a Professional Services Veterinarian at Antech Diagnostics and Imaging where she provides consultative services to practice owners and veterinary staff, promoting best practice medicine providing training and technical support to the Northeast region of the United States. She received both her DVM and MBA in Multi-sector Health Management degrees from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.

She has been a practicing emergency and general practice veterinarian for the past 10 years, and has been published in over seven articles in Veterinary Dermatology, with contributions in the American Journal in Veterinary Research and Veterinary Parasitology. She continues to practice as a relief veterinarian and volunteer in community outreach programs to promote wellness and preventive care in the local Pittsburgh, PA area.

Jennifer enjoys the city life in downtown Pittsburgh, PA where she lives with her two French Bulldogs, Pickle and Roxy Razzle Dazzle, and her miniature French Poodle, Clifford. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, water sports and traveling. She enjoys learning the histories, cultures of the world. Her favorite continent is Africa where she has been on educational safaris to Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and Rwanda and looks forward to visiting Botswana and Zambia in the future.
