Fear Free℠ Success In General Practice - The Outpatient Experience

There are two types of veterinary hospitals – busy ones, and barely surviving ones. What do they both have in common? Both need a commitment from all staff to create a culture and environment that focuses on the pet’s emotional well-being to the same extent that it focuses on the pet’s physical well-being. This presentation describes how healthcare providers can address patient fear, anxiety and stress in effort to optimize healthcare, and in order to provide the best experience imaginable for pets, pet owners, and veterinary staff. Using video examples from my practice, we will take a walk through the typical outpatient Fear Free℠ exam, and we will solve the most common challenges of the outpatient visit. It will change the way you practice. Runs 90 minutes .

Presentation summary: This presentation is designed to give all team members the basic background and tools necessary to complete a Fear Free℠ outpatient examination.
