Mission
PVF's mission is to assist Pennsylvania residents enrolled as students at
schools and colleges of veterinary medicine across the United States that are in
need of financial assistance.
How Does PVF Benefit Me as a Veterinary Student?
The sole purpose of the Foundation is to raise and administer funds to be given
as scholarships to deserving students in their pursuit of an education in
veterinary medicine. All third and fourth year veterinary students that are
Pennsylvania residents are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
Each summer, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation sends notice to all US
veterinary schools and colleges calling for nominations for the annual
scholarships. All nominations are made through the school and are due at the PVF
office on September 1. The Board of Trustees reviews the applications and
decides to whom to award the scholarships. The schools and applicants are
notified about the Foundation's selections in late fall. The scholarship monies
are then distributed to the recipients in January of the ensuing year.
