Active	Graduates of colleges of veterinary medicine
2012 Graduate	Upon graduation from an accredited college of veterinary medicine, grauates applying for membership are eligible to continue their dues-free membership for the remainer of their graduation year. Active Recent Graduate dues apply at membership renewal on January 1st of the following year.
Academic Active	Graduates of colleges of veterinary medicine who work primarily (75% or more) of their time in an academic institution
Active Recent Graduate - Graduation Year 2010 and 2011	First and second year out in practice, dues are 25% of the current Active Member dues rate. For four (4) consecutive years following graduation, recent graduates pay a significantly discounted dues rate. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues.
Active Recent Graduate - Graduation Year 2009	Third year out in practice, dues are 50% of the current Active Member dues rate. For four (4) consecutive years following graduation, recent graduates pay a significantly discounted dues rate. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues.
Active Recent Graduate - Graduation Year 2008	Fourth year out in practice, dues are 75% of the current Active Member dues rate. For four (4) consecutive years following graduation, recent graduates pay a significantly discounted dues rate. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate dues.
Associate	Veterinarians who are residing or working in other states
Government	Veterinarians who work 75% or more of their time for a federal or state government agency or the military. Verification of the agency of employment must be included with the membership application. All applications must be accompanied by the dues for the first year.
Part-Time Staff Veterinarian	A part-time associate veterinarian who work 20 hours or less in clinical practice. Dues are set at 50% of the Active Member dues amount. Eligible veterinarians must provide verification of part-time status in writing and the verification must be signed by the practice owner. The letter stating part-time status must accompany the membership application. The practice owner must also be a PVMA member. Applicants should complete the membership application. All applications must be accompanied by the dues for the first year. Verification of part-time status must be completed annually.
Practice Manager	Veterinary practice personnel (non-veterinarian) who spend at least 75% of their time either in the direct conduct of veterinary medicine or who have direct responsibility for the management and day-to-day operation of one or more veterinary hospital. Applicants should complete the membership application. All applications must be accompanied by the dues for the first year.
Student	Veterinary medical students who permanently reside in PA and are currently enrolled in an out of state accredited college of verterinary medicine, and any student currently enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine
Industry Partner	Non-veterinarian representatives from companies that manufacture or provide veterinary-related products and/or services to veterinarians
